The Survey


You are invited to participate in this study. The purpose of the ‘Practice Clinician Becoming Academic’ research study is to explore the journey of clinicians transitioning from clinical practice to academia. We seek to share insights, challenges, and successes from individuals who have made this transition, providing valuable information and inspiration for others contemplating a similar path. Another aim is to identify appropriate and engaging formats to communicate the information. We aim to produce an academic journal article for publication to contribute to the formal academic discourse. Research findings will be disseminated within HEIs to allow for improved Teaching and Learning practices after the study’s completion. The study is led by Katyon Warrick and has received ethics approval (UEP2025MAY05).

If you would like to participate in this study, please complete the survey below. The survey
will take you approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. You may choose not to take the survey, to stop responding at any time, or to skip any questions that you do not want to answer. 

The information provided by you in this questionnaire will be used for research purposes. It will not be used in a manner which would allow identification of your individual responses.

Anonymised research data will be archived and made available to other researchers on request in line with current data sharing practices.
